Pattern was founded in 2022 by London-based Music Directors Martin Roberts and Alex Wadstein to bring a modern and dynamic approach to live music performance.
Pattern offers a complete solution for artists wanting to take their live show to the next level; providing the tools needed to reach their full potential. By working together with management, label and creative directors to nurture and develop talent in the most organic way possible, we endeavour to connect an artist’s identity with show-stopping performances that build fan loyalty.

Since 2013, Martin has worked exclusively in the live music industry; catering to touring bands and artists, whether that be in the form of a Musician, Musical Director, or Programmer. Over the years, Martin has worked with artists such as Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa, James Bay, M83, Jonas Blue, Jamie Woon, Roni Size, Schiller, Scott Quinn, Majestic, and many more.
With a long history and background in Dance Music and an active interest in current music trends, Martin has a broad range of experience and influence to draw from, and a deep-rooted knowledge of the UK music scene from over the past three decades.

Alex is a Drummer and Music Director, graduating from The Academy of Contemporary Music in 2016 before establishing his career working alongside a selection of UK and US artists for TV, Radio, Recording and Live environments.
In 2018 Alex took on the role of Music Director for UK artist Jordan Mackampa, utilising his attention to detail and knowledge of system design to craft a show that adhered to the genre's organic foundations. His style of direction stresses the importance of group effort and enabling everyone in the room to work to their full potential.
Additionally, Alex has years of experience with a range of other artists across many different genres and disciplines, from the early developmental stage through to major label acts such as JP Cooper and Tom Misch. This has given him a strong understanding of an artist's growth and their live representation, utilising the ever changing tools and skills necessary to build a show true to their needs.
